David plays Reverend Shaw Moore in the musical ‘Footloose’ in London from 5 June until 29 September 2006.

The musical made its debut on Broadway in 1998 and played its first U.K tour in 2004. The most recent tour just ended. The production features direction and choreography by Karen Bruce and a score by Dean Pitchford which includes hits songs such as “Lets Hear It For The Boy” and “Footloose”. The creative team includes set and costume design by Morgan Large and lighting design by James Whiteside.

Footloose tells the story of city boy Ren who has to move to a rural backwater in America where dancing is banned. All hell breaks out as Ren breaks loose and soon has the whole town on its feet.

I saw ‘Footloose’ in the West End before I agreed to join it and was taken aback by a terrific young cast and a really fun show. It seemed to me to play the part of the grumpy vicar was too good a chance to miss.
